The Dietitian at Mid America Dialysis helps patients maintain a healthy nutrition status through patient and family education, monthly nutritional lab assessments and by tailoring the renal diet to each individual’s lifestyle and health status. Diet plays a large role in patient health and quality of life, so it is important patients are aware of the diet that is best for them. Because of this, every patient and/or their family is educated on the amounts of protein, calories, potassium, phosphorus, sodium and fluid intake that is right for them. Unlike other dialysis centers, Mid-America’s Dietitian is a full time position and is available to answer questions at any time.
